Island View offers a serene escape, nestled near the heart of Castletownbere. During my short stay, I found solace in the shared lounge, sipping tea while taking in the breathtaking views of Bantry Bay. One morning, I indulged in the continental breakfast; fresh fruit and homemade brown bread were substantial enough to fuel my desire to explore. The tranquil environment is further complemented by the lovely gardens and sun terrace, perfect for unwinding after a day of cycling or hiking in the stunning surroundings. Friendly hosts, including Dennis, were helpful throughout my visit without being intrusive. For those seeking a restorative getaway, Island View certainly provides a sense of calm and comfort, reminiscent of the warm hospitality we cherish back home in Dublin. I left feeling rejuvenated and welcomed, enough to consider a return in the future.
